GII. Describe the different challenges you face as a Golf Course Superintendent. What seems to be the biggest challenge for you and why?

IY.    Golf Superintendent position is very challenging position. It requires working with limited resources, budgeting, sanctioning and various approvals from the management alongwith making harmony between the members, management & the staff. Weather, Climate, and consistency of the course playability are some of the additional job challenges.

GII.   How are challenging situations handled involving Golfers who have concerns or complaints regarding the tee marker and Cup locations?

GII. How are challenging situations handled involving Golfers who have concerns or complaints regarding the tee marker and Cup locations?

IY.     We keep our Cup Locations on the greens as per SOP and align our tee markers every day before tee off.

GII. What is your opinion of Golf Courses in relation to the Environment?

IY.    Golf courses are high oxygen producers and habitat of various Flora and Fauna. Golf Courses do carbon sequestration and play key role in management of Green House Gases. They provide space to use urban recycled waste water instead of polluting rivers. They also work as natural water reservoir, protect soil erosion and control smog.

GII. If your course uses effluent water, what process is used to prepare it for use on the course?

IY.    We are using Sintex Biological Sewage Treatment Plant for effluent water of our premises. STP work on bacterial activity and multilayer micro membrane functioning. We are planning to increase the capacity of STP for recycling effluent water to use in larger scale.
