JS.   I always had a liking for this game since my teenage as I always wanted to be a Golfer in life. Looking at the growing danger to the environment, I felt the need to act as an environment savior. The Golf Courses are maintained in a very high standard all over the world by and large making this as a very niche sport and I am very happy to have made my career in Golf as a Golf Superintendent.

JS.   I got my first ‘On the job training’ in Air Force Golf Club – New Delhi which was my first Golf Course where I have learnt the skills on Golf Course Designing, Turf Maintenance, Turf Care Machinery, Equipments, Irrigation, Water Management, Fertilization, Golf Course Operations & Manpower Management.

JS.   I graduated with Bachelors in commerce and I did My Golf Management Course with ‘Bagga’s Golf Management Group’ – New Delhi for 6 years. There I learnt how to technically translate the golf architect’s plans efficiently and truthful to details and I also assisted shapers with all technical details to shape the Golf Course to aesthetic finish.

I have also attended Indian Golf Expo along with many other seminars in the field of Golf related to Turf  Maintenance, Turf Care Machinery & Equipments.

JS.   The Superintendent does a multi-faced job which is to keep and maintain the Golf Course in a good playing conditions all the time irrelevant of scarcity of water, excess rains or extreme cold conditions.

JS.   I keep myself updated by regularly attending Trainings, Seminars and Workshops conducted by various Golf Maintenance bodies or Associations and also attend workshops, trainings and seminars related to Golf Machinery.

JS.   It is really a challenge to develop and maintain Golf Course as the Golfers all over the world are of the highest profile and need everything which is perfect and is in no mood to listen to any kind of excuse, hence the only way to handle the situation is to keep up the good work and give the best results all the times.

JS.   I think the Golf Courses should be promoted extensively all over the world as our environment is in severe danger and to save the same this is the only sport which is very much environment friendly.

JS.   I ensure to use the STP water for irrigation and also retrieve water from the Wells & Bore Wells to keep the Greens and fairways moist all the times.

JS.   The compliments received  from my Golf Members and the testimonials given to my company for the quality of Greens, Tees, Bunkers & Fairway made by me are the rewarding aspects of my profession.

JS.   Without any doubt I would like to be a Golf Superintendent and a renowned Golf Designer again. Because Its my passion to design anything which is to be started from the beginning and shape up as per my thoughts and maintain the Golf course as per the Golf Standards.
